When applying the bandage, use a spiral or spiral-folding method, ensuring each loop covers half to two-thirds of the width of the previous loop.

This overlapping method ensures even pressure distribution across the entire bandaged area, preventing gaps that could lead to insufficient support or excessive thickness that could cause pressure ulcers. When wrapping, keep the bandage rolled tightly against the skin surface, avoiding pulling or tugging. Apply even and moderate pressure, ideally allowing a finger to be inserted. For areas with uneven thickness, such as joints, a reverse folding technique can be used to better conform the bandage to the limb's contour, ensuring continuous and stable pressure and preventing shifting or loosening.
